Formerly known as Summer Sky, this vibrant shade of blue embodies the spirit of limitless possibilities and represents our commitment to constantly push boundaries. To make this launch even more exciting, we had the privilege of collaborating with two outstanding volleyball stars, Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss, who graciously shared their insights and inspiration behind this captivating color.

The process of creating Boundless Blue was a labor of love, combining meticulous research, artistic vision, and the expertise of our team. We wanted to develop a shade that not only captured the essence of summertime but also reflected the boundless energy and determination exhibited by athletes like Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss.

Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss, two highly acclaimed volleyball players, lent their expertise and creativity to the creation of Boundless Blue. We had the opportunity to sit down with them and discuss their experiences, inspirations, and how this collaboration came to fruition.

Q: Who are you?

A (Taryn Kloth): I am a professional beach volleyball athlete! The game takes me around the country and around the world. I love to travel, visit my family and friends, I love being on the water, and experiencing new things! 

A (Kristen Nuss): I am a professional beach volleyball player and also a proud Louisianian. 

Q: How did you find out about TIY?

A (Taryn Kloth): I was introduced to the product while I was at Creighton University on the indoor team in 2016. One of my teammates came back with a TIY and convinced the coaches that it would be a great investment for the team. I gave it a try and have been hooked ever since. I haven't used another hair tie! 

A (Kristen Nuss): Taryn introduced me to TIY a couple years ago by providing me with an extra one when I needed a ponytail... I don't think I ever gave it back to her.

Q: What made you want to collaborate with us?

A (Taryn Kloth): -The product speaks for itself but Andrea is very passionate about the brand and her story. I love her business intention to create a community and encourage confidence! The idea behind TIY is to show you are strong, confident, and ready to break down the boundaries! Less boundaries, more bliss. 

A (Kristen Nuss): After speaking with Andrea, we could see her passion for this company/product and the similarities between her drive and Taryn and I's drive. We felt like we shared a lot of similarities... starting a business from the ground up and breaking barriers along the way. We also absolutely love the TIY hair ties, so we felt very confident in telling others that they should use TIY as well. 

Q: What does boundless blue mean to you or stand for in your life?

A (Taryn Kloth): I am constantly trying to break all the boundaries. I am from Sioux Falls, South Dakota home to exactly 0 beaches. I am willing to take risks for what I love to do. We are both from non-traditional beach volleyball states. We are the only two US beach athletes who are staying in Louisiana to train. We see and recognize the boundaries and are not scared of them. The color blue exudes a sense of trust, which is a major focus in our partnership on the beach volleyball court. We chose each other and we choose to stick together through the good, bad, and ugly times in our beach volleyball careers! 

A (Kristen Nuss): Boundless Blue to me means limitless, breaking barriers, confidence, and trusting. I am a 5'6" professional beach volleyball player from Louisiana. That in itself requires some barriers to have been broken. Taryn and I strive for these words while competing in the sand, but also in everyday life. We have very lofty goals for ourselves that are boundless which is why we feel this name truly encapsulates us as a team and as an individual. Additionally, the blue symbolizes trust, confidence, boldness and the limitless ocean, which again all coincide with us as a professional beach volleyball team and independent women.
