Medal Winners Wearing TIY!

It’s no secret that TIY was founded to support those in pursuit of their wildest dreams. Since day one, we’ve been on a mission to eliminate hair distractions from daily life, office scenarios and — where it all began — the athletic stage. That means our team couldn’t be more honored or excited to see those using our product excel at this year’s Games.

Owing to the most equal gender representation yet, the 2021 competition looks set to usher in the year of the female athlete. Our custom hair ties were specifically designed BY pro athletes, FOR pro athletes. With a high-quality elastomer core and the ability to perfectly size your hair tie according to your needs, when you lock your hair in with TIY, the game is on. Just ask a few of the incredible medal winners who trusted TIY this year.

Ana Zolotic Wins Gold Wearing TIY Hair Ties

Did someone say Anastasija Zolotic? Yes, yes they did. And then they gave her a well-deserved gold medal. The 17-year-old American taekwondo athlete can be seen here rocking her TIY hair tie and making sure that medal is real, just in case. We love to see it.

Women’s Gymnastics Team: Win While Wearing TIY

Gymnastics is a full-body sport that requires full-body focus. That means athletes have no time for sagging hairstyles or tresses that fall out mid-performance. Inclusivity is a founding principle here at TIY. Our hair ties work with any hair length, volume, type and texture. Precisely because you can cut our custom-sizeable hair ties to any length you need, you can tie a one-loop, two-loop or four-loop hair tie — whatever it takes to help you keep your head in the game.

It warms our hearts to see how TIY hair ties are helping amazing athletes like Team USA silver medalist Grace McCallum. The incredible gymnastics star used TIY for all her competitions at this year's Games. Here’s what she had to say:

“My hair is so long and heavy that I’ve always had a really hard time keeping it up at competitions, and this is the first time I didn’t have to worry about my hair falling out,” she said.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. We’re so proud of you and grateful to be part of your story, Grace!

Cat Osterman: Softball & Silver

Cat Osterman is a three-time medal-winning Olympian, amazing softball pitcher and all-around force of nature. We love perusing action shots of Cat, because you can always #spottheknot and the passion she brings to every competition.

Lara Dallman-Weiss: Athletes in Tokyo Wear TIY Hair Ties

Team USA sailing pro Lara Dallman-Weiss is on the scene in Tokyo with TIY hair ties ready to work for her. Lara knows a thing or two about hair monsters and how they can reveal themselves at the most inconvenient times. Luckily, that’s exactly what we’re here for. You can read about her hair journey with TIY here and keep up with Lara and teammate Nikki Barnes as they compete in the women’s 470 two-person dinghy this summer.
